Railings - Align supports with posts

Trying to create a guard/handrail for a simple ramp. All is well, except that I would like to show handrail supports at intermediate posts (balusters). In the handrail type properties, when selecting the layout "Align with Posts", only supports at the beginning and end posts are created. I can't seem to find the workaround and/or what I'm missing. Suggestions?

The intermediate "posts" are actually balusters, not posts.  You may need to break the rail sketch to shorter segments so that a post will be placed at each segment end.  Then the rail support will be there.

Thanks for the hint. It seems counter-intuitive to break a sketch line for a railing. I would expect to have some ability to automatically add posts at a certain interval, so that they are created parametric-ly (I think that's the right word) instead of dependent on my line segments. But, this works.

Oooorrrr...

You may embed the supports into the baluster family.

The handrail supports never seemed to line up with the balusters. Playing around with the railing, I discovered that you can independently select the railing support, un-pin it, and then move it to align with the baluster.
