Railing on stairs not joining to railing on floor

Hi,

Every time I create a stair and create a new railing on the floor the railing on the stairs always goes a lot higher than the railing on the floor does anyone know how to fix this? I have attached an image showing the problem.

Maybe just delete the one on the floor and extend the one on the stairs.

Thanks for the reply but I actually don't know how to extend the railing of the stairs, do you know how to?

Edit existing Rail and ADD a sketch line to make it contiguous.  In other words, build both Rails into one sketch. No?
