"There is a circular chain of references..." Tutorial, extremely frustrating

So I am working through this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRXZAC4Aqwg and I am simply unable to execute this building sweep! I have been trying this for hours now and I'm about to simply give up. I have followed all of the methods mentioned in the comments section of the video to no avail.  I can make sweeps that are similar (barely), but I cannot execute the sweep in the video. It's either "circular chain" error or "bad geometry" error. I really don't get it at all...has anyone had any luck with this?

Thanks,

For the record: issue solved by selecting bottom-most point in spline and clicking "Select New Host". Then move the point off of the building corner and a bit further out along the spline plane. Click the point and the geometry pulls should show and the work plane should be parallel with the thin face. Draw the triangle from that new point, select spline element and your triangle and drop down to create Hollow Form. I tried everything what felt like a million times, even this step before. But it worked this time. If anyone wants screens I will post them.

I wonder how much time you spent in total watching that video, and what you got in return for all that time. Seems to be that it was a great number of hours dedicated to just one topic, the making of a sweep.

I spent almost two hours working through it. I wanted to make THAT sweep
and reconcile the issue (apparently on the Revit end). It creates a looped
element at the lower point when placed on the corner of the building.
Thanks for noticing.

Your first message says "I have been trying this for hours", and the second message says "I tried everything what felt like a million times". Amazing that all that fits into 2 hours.
