"N/A" OR DASH for exterior doors using the From Room or To Room parameter

Since 2011 users have requested an "N/A" OR DASH for blank cells on a door schedule using the From Room or To Room parameter. The "FROM/TO ROOM" columns in a door schedule always have several blank cells from unplaced rooms and Autodesk's solution is to place  a room outside each exterior door? This is impossible on complex buildings. All we need is a simple conditional format.

Has anyone found a more viable solution for this issue?

Never needed it but probably would use Dynamo for this. Read the to/from room values, replace the missing values with a dash or N/A and store it into two new shared parameters. Then schedule those parameters instead.
