"Architectural Beams" in Revit - feature request

Dear Autodesk and whoever may be interested,

Is there a logical reason Revit does not contain architectural beam elements (or other standard L angles, or C channels for that matter) out of the box?  This seems like a huge gaping hole in Revit's feature set.  Before you go telling me to use analytical members, please address whether or not you've ever actually used any of these elements with any degree of success.  Doubtful.  There are adaptability issues, graphic issues, and modeling fluidity issues with the analytical members that make them essentially useless for architects.

I'd very much appreciate a response as to why Revit does not include these critical architectural modeling items 'from the factory.'

Thanks

-Rocky
