Quick Access Toolbar Glitch? | Option to Change the Ribbon to a Dark(er) Theme

Question #2:

Will there an option to change the Ribbon to a darker theme? I set the UI to "Dark" theme but compared to AutoCAD and 3ds Max, it's still too bright for comfort.

Welcome to the forum.

About your first question: that is the default position for the quick access toolbar. The last icon in that toolbar is an arrow that includes an option to show the toolbar below the ribbon.

There are only two options for the contrast of the menus, light and dark. If you already selected dark, keep it like that. You´ll get used to it.

Thank you for replying, however I should have clarified my first question.

It's not the position of the Quick Access Toolbar that's bothering me, but rather it's the color.

Both AutoCAD and 3ds have Quick Access Toolbars that match the color theme of the ribbon.

I have already tried disabling the transparency mode and even disabled the color on the title bar, but neither works.

So far Revit 2017 is the only one of the three apps (AutoCAD and 3ds are the other two) that I'm immediately experiencing issues with.

EDIT:

I selected the option to show the toolbar below the ribbon and it displays correctly now.

However, I don't feel that this is a complete solution since it doesn't solve the problem of the toolbar displaying incorrectly in its default position.

This does not mean to answer your question and I am sure many people
disagree.

I found having dark theme for Revit distracting. It is not the brightness,
but the contrast between the tools and the drawing space that bothers me.
So, my AutoCad has dark theme but Revit has light theme.

Well thank you for your insight, I think I understand now why Revit looks the way it is.

I'll just have to get used to interface then, might not be so bad after all...
