Questions-- tagging families

Hello,

 I have a revit question that i hope someone can help with. I have spent a lot of time on it, and can’t come up with an answer----

My question:

In a systems family or a nested family, can you tag individual families so that all pieces would show up on a furniture schedule?

For example, I  given a table and chairs and I need to get the table in a Revit schedule and I need the chairs to be on that same schedule ? I have done it manually, is there a way to individually tag families without editing the overall family?

You'd need to make the chairs "Shared Families".
