Question about collaborative work

(EN)Is it possible to download a copy of a collaborative File? If you download a copy, is this recorded in the original file? Will the owner of the file be notified that a copy has been downloaded? Does downloading a copy of the file affect the original file?

(ES)Es posible descargar una copia de un Archivo colaborativo?
en caso de descargar una copia esto queda registrado en el archivo original?
el propietario del archivo será notificado de que se ha descargado una copia?
Descargar una copia del archivo afecta el archivo original?

For any project, if you open the file or a local file, go to the Collaborate tab, Manage Models panel, Show history, select the file you want to see the history on and it will bring up a dialog of the history…you can export that list.

This won't tell you what was done, but it will show you who was working on that project at a specific time...this information is based on the username.

Downloading a Central Model and opening locally will not be recorded but if you make changes and then the file is synced with the Central these will be recorded.  So often models are shared by detaching them and you can work on them without it affecting the Central Model

Why are you worried about the owner being notified about you downloading their file? You're raising a big red flag there buddy.

It looks like you want to download something but without the owner´s approval?

Downloading from a collaborative site such as BIM360 is easy if you are one of the consultants working on the project. Usually, the BIM Manager will setup permissions. For all the design team doing work on Revit, they must be allowed to download so that they can link the architectural model. But other people are only viewers and they are not allowed to download.
