Hi,
I'm new in using Revit, and I'm very interested in its Project Management properties.
I was wondering if there is some kind of report I can run to see how many objects are in a family in the entire project.
For example, the project is a big house, and I want to do a takeoff of all the different types and quantities of chairs used in the project.
I know there is a way I can see the quantity of objects in a project (bottom right corner). However in a BIG project this would take a big amount of time, and it's open to potential errors.
If some one has and option or an answer, I'll really appreciate it.
Thanks,

Thanks for the response. I manage to create a schedule, but as you can see in the picture, it is completely broken down and all my quantities are 1.
I can see on your sample photo, you have full quantities per family.
Thanks again for your help.

In Schedule Properties - uncheck Itemize By Instance.

Go to Format tab, select Count field and set it to Calculate total. Go to Total. Sort/group tab, group by Family field, uncheck Itemized every instance at the bottom. Add Count and Total under the same tab.
The link I gave you earlier should all the essential instruction on things you can do with schedules. Spend some time read it.
