You can calculate the path length = material volume / profile area via a schedule.  There are several other methods depends on how you model the sweep and its complexity.

What kind of Sweep? In-Place.  Why not label dimension with a shared parameter and include that parameter in Schedule.

BTW: The in-built sweeps (i.e. gutters, soffits, fascias, wall sweeps, reveals, railing, etc., etc.) report length.  Maybe cross-purpose one of them?

There is no need if you use the marked solution.

Tested what?  What did not work?  You're trying to calculate the length of sweep profile; right?  Or, maybe I'm misunderstanding you.  The way I read it; you are wanting to know the length of the path that the profile is swept along; right?

...or maybe you mean the area of the profile itself?  Yes, no, maybe so?

Hi... i did the area parameter for profile:

But, I can't associate this parameter to the sweep model in place where your category is "ceiling".... when I did the model with sweep, I get the shared parameter but the value dont of "ÁREA PERFIL" return "0" to me. I think: the profile has a category different, is it?

sorry the english

@Anonymous - try modeling the sweep as a Railing. You will be able to tag and schedule the length of the Sweep.

Hello, barthbradley for your solution, Does your sweep length have to be entered manually, or can it be calculated automatically? Can you give me a sample file?
