Looks like there is already a few support cases on the GitHub for pyRevit.

https://github.com/eirannejad/pyRevit/issues?q=revit+2023

It would be better to move this chat over to their as this isn't an Autodesk Product.

There are a few topics at Github, but this is a tool that I imagine is borderline critical in many people's Revit workflow and I'm surprised not more people are reacting to it not being available this long after the 2023 release.

I guess this indicates that either transition to Revit 2023 is very slow or there is a way to get it working, and I'm interested in fellow Revit users advice on the latter.

There are some instructions on there as to how to get it to work for R23. I had a to dig around a bit, but I found them. Do some Google searches and you should find them.

There are some suggestions on Github, such as editing one of the config files but either the editing of the .cs file broke with a later version, or it under only worked under certain conditions. Some of the files mentioned in the comments are now listed as expired on Github and no longer available, regardless of being logged in or not.

I have literally tried them all to no success.

I stuck the copy of it that I had installed and got working on 2023 a while ago up on my dropbox if you'd like that.

OMG, you are an utter lifesaver! Thank you so much!

That worked right away, can't understand why this version isn't available on Github.

I will say this. The build is from somewhere in July. And I have not updated it because what I needed was working fine. I recall going through all the same problems you had (builds were missing from GitHub). I actually seem to remember having to build a custom build and download it. But I’m not entirely clear on what I did because I was doing a lot of crazy stuff trying to get it to work. But once I had the working executable I saved it. I’m glad it worked for you.

Also very trusting of you to assume that it wasn’t malware. Lol

Lol, I guess I was just to desperate to think of that. Besides, if you can't trust a fellow Revit user who can you trust?  🙂

Thanks again!

I almost don’t dare upgrading to this one now that I got version from David that works.  🙂

Any significant improvements in this version?

Haven't tested it yet. On my todo list for Thursday. However, would believe it will be stable for installation and basic use.

It does appear that Pyrevit removed the tool which allowed renumbering viewports on a sheet,

did anyone else catch this?

I'm on pyRevit v4.8.12.22247 and did not lose this functionality.

Ahh I see, its the renumber tool, I had recalled an option under the "sheets" tab.
I take it back. Pyrevit 2023 is great
