Pull Down Menus Not Working

Good afternoon,

Running Revit 2016 on Windows 10 and my drop down menus do not work. For example, in my properties browser I want to switch between phases, the drop down arrow does not show the list. I have to begin to type what I want to select. Same when trying to add a parameter during family creation. Have to click, then wheel my mouse to get the option to come up.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance

Revit 2018 and Windows 10 and this still seems to be an issue, but thanks to this thread I fixed by changing laptop display size to 100% to match external monitor. It would be nice if Autodesk could fix this issue so that laptop display size could be optimized.

Yes that's exactly it!

I moved all my windows onto one monitor instead of spreading them onto two and now it works again.

Based on a couple other posts, I've narrowed it down to having a dual monitor setup. They work fine on one monitor, but as soon as I move it to the other monitor and go full screen they don't work anymore. If the window is not full screen on the second monitor I found that this happens: 2015-10-16 10.44.26.jpg

(sorry for the poor image quality)

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi All,

Please keep and eye on this article: Unresponsive drop-down menus or graphics issues when using multiple monitors with different display ...

Workaround:

  1. Go to Windows > Control Panel > Display settings
  2. Adjust the monitor scale and layout display settings - make sure to set the same value for each monitor in use (e.g. 100%, 125%, 150%, etc).

Regards,

The two screens causing this issue checks out for me as well - I moved Revit to my other screen and maximized it and it fixed the problem - thanks!

Hi Eric

I had the same issue with my laptop screen and my external (second) screen.

On my laptop screen all my drop down menus worked but on my second screen none worked.

I fixed the problem by changing my resolutions on both screens to be the same (1920 x 1080),

And my scale on my screens to the same scale (100%)

Hope this helps

Kind Regards
