Hi, I would like some help regarding setting up the property line with given lengths & Azimuth values. It seems like I have to convert the Azimuth values to quadrant values. I'm doing something wrong obviously as seen on the attachment, can anybody help please I'm new to this. Also attached is the Lot diagram which I need to draw.

Thanks

Good morning.. This is what I do.  It may not be the best way since I taught myself, but it works.. Im sure, if there is a more proper way, somebody else can point us both in the right direction.

I used to try to plot the survey manually...takes too much time..

Now, I import an image, then scale that image until its accurate.  Then I will trace the property lines.  You can then either hide the image, or move it out of the way.  What you are left with is the property lines.  from there, add the details that you need.  I like to save it as a "group" and then I can move it around and position it accurately around my model..  You can also use it as a guideline for creating your site.  One note of caution...since there is room for some degree of error when tracing and scaling, I include a note that my drawing is not a physical survey.

I don't understand what the issue is.  Other than some of your Deed Data values not matching those shown on the map, it looks fine to me.  What am I missing?

...here's one that matches the map--almost.  It doesn't close, so I let Revit add the last line to close.

P.S. Letting Revit add the final line to close is done more often than not in my neck of the woods. Seldom do they close.

My units were in mm for the distances so that's why it gave me an error (for the 1,6 line) of having a minimum line length of 2mm, sorry my bad but thanks for the reply bradley.

Yeah there must be something wrong with that left hand side line, it's also missing its coordinate or azimuth value, quite annoying. Anyway thanks man

You're okay. Just my lying eyes deceiving me again.  See edit above.

...HA! Just realized the 0.76 represents 2 1/2 feet!  Yours is Meters not Decimal Feet. Yeah...that might not be an acceptable "fudge".

Massing & Site>Model Site>Site Settings. Under Property Data, change Angle Display setting to "Degrees."

Save you some time. 🙂
