Project units won't round

I'm using Revit LT 2015

I'm trying to set my units to round the nearest 1/4". I have accomplished this before in other projects however, for some reason it isn't working this time.

I changed in Manage>Setting>Project Units the format column (common discipline) length to round, "to the nearest 1/4"." However, dimension units in the project aren't changing. Units are still showing to the nearest 1/32". I have even tried deleting the measurement and replacing it. Closing and reopening the project didn't work either.

The units in the project won't round at all.

If you have not yet figured this out:

  • Place an instance of your Dimension Style.
  • Select the placed instance.
  • In the Property palette, choose the Edit Type button near the upper right.
  • In the Type Properties dialog that will appear, scroll down to find the Units Format parameter.
  • Select the button in the Value column next to the Units Format parameter.
  • In the Format dialog that appears, you can check the Use project settings toggle if you want that Dimension Style to follow the project settings for linear distances, or uncheck it and then set the specific formatting you want this Dimension Style to have.
  • OK your way back to editing the model, and you should see your placed Dimension reflect the settings you made (along with every other instance of that style).
