Project creates ceiling plans with no content

I have created first and second floor plans, roof plan, sections, and elevations. Revit project creates reflected ceiling plans with no visible content. I have searched Autodesk and other forums for this situation. I have read about checking the View Range and have tried all kinds of adjustments there. Visibility Graphics shows all object types to be displayed. I can select an object in floor plan view and in the RCP plan, I can see the temporary dimensions for that object but no object. When turning on the Crop Region Visible for the RCP, its four times +/- wider than the floor plan view.  I can place new walls in the RCP such they extend to the area of the objects in the floor plan view. The walls are visible in the RCP but they are not visible in the floor plan even though they associate with the same base and top levels. When I create a ceiling object in the RCP, it appears to do so properly, but I get the "None of the created elements are visible..." message. Opening a 3d view and zooming way our does not display the newly created walls and ceiling.

check if there is assigned view template in the properties and set to none? thanks

Thanks for your suggestion. View Template was indeed set to None. Tried changing to the Architectural Reflected Ceiling Plan template in the View Template drop down; it did not display anything either

have you tried to create your reflected ceiling plan by plan views?

Yes, I have used the Reflected Ceiling Plan option under tab View\Plan Views. After time spent trying to get the proper method for RCP working, I did attempt to use a duplicated plan view, but could not get the desired results. I've got a fair amount of time on this project or I would start over in a fresh template. I have never attempted somehow copying and dumping the model into a clean template. Back in my AutoCAD Architecture days, that would have been my first option. I have checked my other Revit projects and creating a RCP works in all of them.

The RTE/Template has nothing to do with it.  If you have an RCP View and nothing is showing in it - and you are certain that something should be showing - then go through that list of 33 to find a solution.

I finally figured it out. Item 31 of the 33 list applies. I knew too great of extents could cause problems. I have a linked civil CAD file. The civil file is not for a huge site area, just a view hundred feet each direction. Turns out the linked CAD file had some small elements at its origin a long ways from the site. I had never zoomed extents with everything thawed and on in AutoCAD to see them before trouble shooting this. The puzzling part for me was that the floor plans, 3d views, etc. all displayed elements properly with the linked file loaded. I unloaded the file and successfully created RCPs. I recall now that I had created floor plan and 3d views prior to linking the civil file. Thanks for all your suggestions.
