Project Cannot be Opened [Elements Missing]

Hi,

I am hoping someone helpful can help me. I have just completed a project which I am looking to send out today however at the last second, as I hit prrint, Revit crashed and now I can't get the project to open! I get an error at 52% saying there are too many elements missing, please contact Autodesk Support. I have placed a call request for tomorrow which is not going to help me issue the drawings today 😕

Does anyone have any experience with this issue and know a solution? The model is a workshared file, i have tried restore back-up (same error) and opening local files from my PC and copying the file and detaching from central... All give me the same error report.

Thanks for your response! Yes, I have tried to audit - no luck. I am trying R2017 as the project is in 2016. This was a suggestion in the first link you posted... Fingers crossed.

You're trying what? Sounds like you're saying that you're trying to open a 2017 Revit Project in a 2016 version of Revit.  Of course, that's impossible; so what do you mean by: "I am trying R2017 as the project is in 2016".

I am trying to open the 2016 project using 2017 in the hope that the upgrade fixes the problem - It doesn't 😞

Couldn't do it the other way could I 😛

I received a call which I scheduled from Autodesk and sent the file to them. The guy (who was very helpful - thankyou) was able to open the project for me using tools a pleb like me can't have and sent it back. A few walls and all the roofs were deleted so a minor fix was required and the project was issued a day late with no actual solution or reason for the issue to avoid it happening again.

I guess if you have a similar issue and are looking for a fix, there may not be one so contact Autodesk asap to get help from support.

Hi @PaulK

Thank you for the response.

Case #: 14513795 is your tracking number and I saw that your model has been fixed using internal tools.
