Project Browser incomplete

I try to train Revit with Youtube videos. But so many things don't work. Now I have a problem with the "Project Browser". When I click "Wall" in the Architect module, I only see a few lines of data, but not an icon for the wall. Like in the Youtube video. The videos of how I can manipulate the Project Browser are also unsatisfactory.

Does anyone have any idea.

You are in the middle of a Command. Close out of it and try again.

You are not by chance looking for Wall Type Selector. That's under Properties.

scroll down to Families, pick the "+" . scroll down to Wall and select "+" again.

Looks to me like you closed your properties palette. Go to the view tab of the ribbon and all the way on the right select User Interface and use that drop down, Select Properties Palette there. That should bring it back. More than likely at some point you clicked the "x" on it an it closed. Happens all the time to my students in my Revit class. Don't click on "x's" if you are not sure what is going to happen.  😉

If that's the solution, how the heck am I wrong then? Either it is Properties or it is not.

I was not in the middle of a command. The solution was to go in the View tab totally right.

Yes. Go to the PROPERITES like I said.  The Properties could be docked anywhere. You could even have the Properties on another Monitor located in another room!

... they could even be on a disconnected monitor. Serious.  I have made that mistake before.

Yes, go to Properties, but I thought it is the icon over the browser. But the answer I need was, to go the right of view and touch this button.

Please treat me as an bloody beginner. Since last spring I have REVIT and for some commands it works fine. I am absolutely convinced that Revit is a great program. But I often get stuck.

Like the next problem. Whatever, I appreciate that you tried to help me.  Matt
