Project Browser and Properties Frozen

Hi,

My computer crashed earlier today and since i've started up Revit again my project browser and my properties have become frozen. I can maximize and minimize them but i cant move them anywhere or click on anything thats in them.

I've rebooted and also run a repair but no luck.

I've searched countless forums and cant seem to find anything relating to the problem and revit is unworkable without these 2 items working.

I'm running Design Suite 2014.

Any help is appriciated.

THANK YOU, OMG.

Revit 2016

-View Tab, User Interface, Browser Organization, Sheets, check 'sheet prefix'

Worked Perfectly, Project Browser is now unfrozen.

I have just gone through this issue on 2015.

I tried the 'successful' link and did not get the intended outcome. not sure if the same process for 2015 applys.

The method I used to unfreeze my project browser were as follows:

1. Open 'User Interface' under View tab.'

2. go down to 'Browser Organisation'. This is where I changed a preference. Under the Sheet tab I changed the preference to 'Prefix' ( i'm sure any tick box would event in the same outcome). Apply and OK.

This updated in my project browser which had also unfrozen my project browser . I then went through the same process to change my preferences back.

All working again!

Just wanted to point out the options referred to here is under the big R in case anyone else had to look a little bit. Opening the options dialogue worked for me too after some initial hair loss. Thanks!

This worked for me. Revit 2018- Properties and Browser locked up. Switched the view settings and then switched it back to all and it reset it.

This is year 2023 and the same problem still happens even in Revit 2024. Thankfully @C.haskings method still works!
