Project base point bad practice or not?

Hello,

I want my levels to read from the GF, 4075cm and so on and so forth.

To get this, I sent my project base point to -4075cm, and I've edited my levels to read from elevation base of project base point.

Is this bad practice? Or is there another, correct way of doing things?

That's okay.

If your survey point is free (not acquiring a shared coordinates system), then you could move it down, set your Level type elevation base to Survey Point, and keep Project Base Point at GF.

Okay thanks for that

But my survey point is not free, I want to link more models to the file (MEP, ect).

So this is the reason I have dropped my project base point..

Is this still okay?

Regards

Aidan
