Process Suggestions for Updating to 2021

We're keen (as I'm sure many others are) to upgrade to 2021 and explore the new features. We are not interested in keeping 2020.x installed at the same time as we will not require it anymore.

Does anyone have a process of purging legacy version(s) and installing a new one without loosing UI settings?

This Autodesk link, "To update your software" is insufficient.

Thank you in advance.

IMO/E: I would strongly suggest leaving 2020 be.

Could you elaborate on your position?

If we have a 3+ year old workstation, that'd mean having 3 versions residing on the same computer with unnecessary legacy information.  The shared libraries alone are almost 3Gigs in size, and why run the risk of selecting material from a previous release?

I could probably  "elaborate" your ears off.

Do you not have legacy projects? I guess that would be my first point. Revit is not backward-compatible.

We do legacy projects from time to time, but work from a new upgraded file. I can't recall offhand preferring to work with out an outdated version of Revit in progressing forward with a past project.
