Problem when inserting external 3D models in Revit 2022

Help, when I insert 3dm or skp models, I can't edit the model afterwards. If I insert models as dwg or dxf, I can break up the model and click on individual components, but I cannot assign materialities, only rename the components (which does not help me). How can I solve this problem?

In ArchiCad, for example, it is not a problem and it is displayed to me with its different materials and components..

When you insert the object as a DWG, you assign the materials to the DWG layers.

You do that under Object Styles >> Imported Objects

Thank you, that helps a little. Unfortunately, only very few categories are displayed there. Windows (Fenster) or objekts (the stair at the entrance), for example, are not. Is it possible to manually split this again? Even if I want to have exterior walls in different materials, for example. I only have one large category for exterior walls (Wand Aussen).

They are imported the same way they were modeled in their native application.

either edit it in sketchup before u export

or open the set you have on hand, add a new layer and assign the window to that layer.

If you wish the glass and the frame to be each of a different material, then you create 2 additional layers. Repeat the same for the stair.

once done, save the def and import/link back into Revit
