Problem in creating complex shape in Revit family

I am trying to create a family for this lighting product but so far I stuck on the Edel pattern. Anyone knows the best practice to model this one?

I stuck in the process to create this lighting product. It is not fully rounded to the top so I cannot use normal revolve tool. Anyone knows how to model a shape like this?

Try using the blend tool to model that.  You may have to do it as separate pieces.

Actually I have tried using Swept blend from different reference planes. But then as you can see in photos attached, I don't know how to turn correctly at the end part.

You could model that in Conceptual Mass environment, more flexibility with free forms OR if doesn't need to be parametric you can easily model it using FormIT, SketchUP or Fusion then import the geometry to Revit Family

This kind of shapes can be done as mass but in my opinion, it will take huge time to do it accurately in revit.

I think you can do it another program like 3ds max or formit and just import it to Revit.

I need the model to be parametric and graphically accurate with the real product. 

Anyway thanks for the recommendation on the mass environment. Gotta learn on that since I never use it before

Don't have that much experience with this also, but you can do a lot with these components.

Adaptive...I had no clue the use of adaptive components has to do with the complexity of the element and thought it had more to do of the where and how the component will be used...following your edited answer, the picture got clearer

Do you have the model in another format (DWG, Rhino, 3DS, SketchUp, etc...)? If so, just import it in a revit Ligting family and assign materials via object styles/import categories.

Using Conceptual Mass Family you can model simply A mass

Using Adaptive Family one can model components that adapt to the shape of its host.

To bring either of the above into a Face or ceiling based family, you have to export the mass family as a geometry "Export as ACIS (.SAT)" and import that into the generic Ceiling based or Faced based family. Mass Families in their raw format .rfa may only be loaded into projects or families which are mass based...

Therefore was the initial suggestion (reiterated by the others) that if you are more comfortable working with Sketchup or FormIT you can do the same thing...

Not directly. I think you'd have to do some back and forth exporting/importing for that. So if you want it as lighting fixture category you should go with Toan's method above and import the 3d geometry. But I don't think you can get this imported geometry parametric...
