printing transparency issues?!

Revit does not allow for linked views to be controlled separately for their view range, they can only be matched with the host or the linked view definitions, and cannot be defined independently. So, to overcome this I overlay the linked view in the sheet and create a separate view for it, where I can control all graphics independently. However, when I export the sheets to DWFX the links included in the architectural view show their transparency while those ovlerlayed become opaque for some reason. On screen all show as transparent. I attach 2 images of screen view and DWFX view. If anyone has an idea how to solve this I'll be grateful.

Set the link display in the view to Underlay. You wouldn't need two.views by the way.

Doesn't solve the problem because it does not allow for separate view range, controlled inside my model, rather than having to ask the consultant to change his each time (not realistic!). Besides, the filters and coloring and transparencies do not work in underaly. Underlay has an overall single setup and does not allow for coloring of different systems. In short, I stay with my stupid workaround unless someone comes up with an ingenious idea.

You can define the view range of the linked view in the linked file.

- Open the linked file and create a view that shows what you want (VG, View Range, filters, etc...).

- Give that view a sensible name so you can find in later.

- Save and close.

- Open your file and in the view you're working on and go to VG > Revit Links and click on Display Settings for your linked file.

- From here select "By Linked View" and choose the view you created in the first step.

Hi there. Thanks for your reply but this is not feasible. The linked files are consultant files and we do not edit them. Besides, we need different view ranges for different types of plans. Asking the consultants to create special views each time we have specific needs is not realistic on a day to day basis. What I am really saying is that I expcet Autodesk to consider adding another option of defining view specific view ranges for linked views. Otherwise it's allmost impossible to coordinate this on a regular basis.

Maybe you missed the first post. Is Vector or Raster Processing checked under Print Setup?  I suspect Vector if you are losing Transparency.  Try Raster.

didn't miss a thing. cannot export raster. this is for permit documentation and the vectorial data is required. As said, the funny thing is that those links that are not overlayed in the sheet remain transparent whilst the one that is overlayed becomes opaque. Mistery or bad programming...
