Printing af model with PNG image with transparent areas as foreground

Hello,

I have this small project where I need to use some former drawings and project a fence over a terrasse. From the main facade there is a marquise in front of the building, so I tried to use the original drawings deleting the areas in question and making them transparent, so the fence shows as placed behind. I used a PNG image in this case. The model looks as planned but when printing it the fence disappear and the print results as there was only the image on the foreground of the model (I attached a couple of screenshots showing the model and the result).

After doing some research I saw someone recommended using Bluebeam for something similar, I have the program, but I could not make it work. Is there someone who knows how could I solve this? I did a temporary solution just making a screenshot and scaling it to the drawing size, but I would like to know if there is a way to print it right for future projects.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Joan

Hello ;

You can upload your model for removing  image background.

Hello selmanyesil,

Thanks a lot for your reply :).

I don't need to remove any background, in the model it looks exactly like I would to have it printed (image Screnshoot) but the problem is that when I send it to print the result is another (image Print).

Joan

I run into this issue before. To get this to work, I place the image into a floorplan or elevation. Crop out the area where the new railing will be. Then on sheet, superimpose both views into one and you should be able to print the image with the railing.

Thanks a lot, Syman. It worked using the method you suggested.

I found out that placing the cropped image directly in the sheet instead works as well.
