Print Sheet Layout Not beyond the Sheet Border

Is there a way or workaround to have Revit only print the sheet and not things that are beyond the Sheet border????

We use non plotting designer notes and we need to print sheets, but don't want Revit to look beyond the Sheet border..... All attempts at this fail.....

Do you place the notes on the views or on the sheet?

If you place them on the views you would work with crop views and annotation crops

You also could use graphics overrides (view template) to hide them.

If you place your designer notes on the sheet itself:

-First recommendation would be not to place those kind of notes on the sheet.

-Also here you could use graphics overrides to hide them.

-If you have your title block sized according to your paper size then if you make sure that the notes are above the title block (not below) and right of the title block (not left) it should be Ok. If I am correct Revit places title block from lower left point of your title block

The square marked by the two arrows is the size of target sheet (A3, 420x297)

Some text is across this frame and some right of it (third arrow).

Note that only text crossing the titleblock square is printed

Note that I always use zoom 100% in the print settings

So if your text is right (not left) or above (not below) this square then it should not be printed. I believe Revit starts with the bottom left corner of the titleblock as origin of the print out

Great Comment!!!  but it does not work.....

We always use zoom 100%, so thats not the issue. The notes need to live on the sheet because I dont want PM/PA in the views possibly messing up the model. This way they can contribute, and other team memebers can leave comments without it mucking up the model.

The reason your final try (with Offset from Corner, No Margins) failed was because you have notes to the left and below the title block.  If you eliminate those, then the lower left corner of the title block will be at the lower left of the plot area, and any notes (or other things) above or to the right of the title block will be cut off.

Drop the text notes on the left side and the bottom. (That still applies)

I had a similar problem in the last few days. I found out that I had some reference planes that go beyond the paper size frame in my custom made title block family (multiple paper size family). Had to shorten them out and now it's all centered and printed as it should be.
