Print combined PDF file, but with different sheet sizes

Hello,

We've jumped into Revit recently and apart from a few hiccups are well on our way. one of the biggest niggles we're dealing with at the moment is how to export PDFs. We're using Revit 2017

The project we're currently working on has a number of sheets we'd like to export into a single PDF.

The problem is these sheets have a number of different sizes / orientation, etc (e.g. A1, A2, A3 / portrait, landscape)

So far we've only been able to export a PDF with 1 paper size and 1 orientation, regardless of how the sheet is arranged.

I've tried to search for a solution on here but I can't seem to find anything or maybe I'm just not thinking of the right search terms.

Can anyone offer any pointers as to how we can have the individual sheets of the pdf created using appropriate page sizes and orientations for each file?

thanks

Euan

This is not possible with just Revit. You would have to have multiple print job and combine later.  It is possible some 3rd party software might make this possible, but i am not familiar enough with the options.

I would create a Sheet Set of each paper size and print one Set at a time.

Hi

You may try to set big and long enough paper and then:

One limitation: it may not work if you have 3D view on the sheet

@E__C  As @loboarch mentioned, third party add-ins can do this.  I suggest taking a look at XRev Transmit.  (Can google search it)  It will print different sizes and has a built in file renamer that will name the files based on sheet parameters.

It's also great if you have to print PDF's, prints, and DWG export....can do all at once. 😉

This is possible using the Revit plugin Archigrafix Docuflow. Each sheet is presented with the correct size and orientation and exported to PDF as in Revit. It also exports the DWG, IFC and the drawing list. Smiley Happy

A free trial is here: https://www.archigrafix.com/downloads

I would print to individual files, and then combine them with Acrobat. If I were going to make such a monster. Which I wouldn't do. Because...

...combined files with multiple sheet sizes contained therein are VERY ANNOYING for the people on your distribution list who will print them.

it's easy to do with plugin  PF Printer PDF from Bimrvt.cz

Select sheets( custom or standard paper sizes), check print to one PDF file and click print to PDF.

One click and all is done automatically.
