Prevent Base Constraint from resetting to view level

Prevent Base Constraint from resetting to view level

Hello,

I was wondering, Is there a way when creating a wall to prevent a Base constraint and or Top constraint from resetting when you create the next wall or hit escape?

Now everytime I've created a wall and want to create the next one it resets the Base constraint to the view level and the Top constraint to the next building story.

Awaiting your reply and thanks in advance.

right click on the wall and select create similar. It should create the wall with the same properties.

Thank you for your fast reply. I tried your solution but it keeps resetting the Base and Top constraint.

I attached a Gif of what happens on my screen. My properties are on the right, you can see them reset.

you are right. It resets the level settings but not the offset settings from the levels.

Hi bakker,

Welcome to Autodesk forum!

When creating wall on the floor plan, the plan should be one of the constraint. So if you want to keep the constraint setting, please try to edit the Heigth or Depth on the Options bar as below

level 5.jpg

And if you want to edit the Base&Top Constraint, please go the 3D view to set the level and the constraint

Hope this helps.
