Possible to hide section drawing references on some plans but show it on others?

Hi fellas!

Is it possible to somehow hide the section references on some views and show it on otheres (depending on scale)?
I would like to use the same section type but have different looks.

Yes, but isn't those visible settings connected to the cycle function for the arrow?
Or how do I get plan 1:100 to show the sheet number while 1:200 doesn't show the sheet number? (as an example)
Have you tried it and got it working?

For us it cycles through left/right and not visible at all.
I would have to swap left/right for "no sheet number visible", but that doesn't work out well for us.

this works for me on the sheets. never tried on the sections. sorry my method doesnt work. needs more research.

Cycle options. In our case.
Head = Sheet number to the left
Tail = Sheet number to the right

Create a filter - add it to the view template.

You can also use "Hide at Scales Coarser Than"

As suggested, creating different Section Types and using Filters are good methods as well.

We would like to have the same sections. The sheet numbers get unreadable at large scales but we still want the section placements visible as a quick overview. Seems troublesome to create two identical sets of sections with different types.

Im not sure I follow. Can a filter make the sheet numbers dissappear?

This is what we're aiming for:

1:400 - Section with without sheet number
1:100 - Section with sheet number visible

Same section.

Create a different section tag without the sheet numbers.

assuming you have the new section mark (without sheet number).

Make a View Reference from the section mark. 

   { section mark [Edit Family], change family Category to View Reference, rename and load into project }

In the 1:400 drawing, cycle the section heads to none and place a View Reference at the correct spot. Duplicate the type to a view reference type with your newly made view reference tag.

IAs I understand it I think you got it backwards.
The 1:400 drawings we only want the section head/tail to show without any sheet number (for a quick overview, text and numbers clutters it). The rest of the sheets should have sheet numbers as usual.

I think I understood you perfectly. See here 2 views, scale 1:100 and  scale 1:400.

In the 400 view the section head is replaced by a view reference tag (manually). The view reference tag is copied besides the scale text for clarity.

So you hide the tail & head completely then insert a view reference (without reference to sheets)?
What happens when sections move etc.?

Sure, this works. But then I guess it's easier to just create a complete "dumb" copy of all the sections with lines in the 1:400 plan and then hide the regular sections.

It just feels so weird that you can't have one plan with one information and another plan where that particular information is filtered or hidden like usual.

Since I have encountered the same problem in our project. We don't want to see the sheet reference on our 1:500 drawings but we want to see them on our 1:100 drawings.

I'm afraid that we didn't. We never sorted this one out.

Different view templates for each type of drawing. Add a filter controlling the visibility of the section references.

Also - create shared parameters (text), associate them with Sections in the project, filter for the parameter.
