Point clouds in revit misaligned - shared coordinates

I have a project where we use shared global coordinates to coordinate models.

We also have laser scans of existing surrounding buildings in the same coordinates. Until recently everything worked great . the revit-models, dwg's and point clouds where all aligned perfectly (since november)

But suddenly the point cloud/clouds suddenly have an offsett of 400mm or more.

When I link them into a new project there is no problem with the point clouds.

I link in with shared coordinates. and get the following error message:the following.JPG

I tried combining the two rcs files into one rcp file, and after that the clouds at least had the same offsett but still not right.

I've also tried changing the scale from 3.280840 to 3.280839 but that made things worse

my revit version is: 18.3.1.2

20180423_1000(x64)
2018.3.1

top view shows how it should be, bottom view shows the latest misalignment of about 400mmtop view shows how it should be, bottom view shows the latest misalignment of about 400mm

I'd try splitting up the scans into separate smaller scans that can be imported individually. I also prefer to put scans in their own model and link that model into the building. It makes it easier to move around if necessary and the scan files can be assigned to worksets which permits me to close and open parts of the overall point cloud project.
