point clouds and general revit questions

Hi, I was wondering if somebody can help me to understand point clouds and editing objects in Revit. I have a basic understanding of revit but have little or no knowledge on point clouds.

Point cloud

- How do you use Point clouds?

- Are they only used as a form of reference such as a jpeg or pdf in AutoCad or can they be used as a complete revit model?

- In terms of the data collected from a point cloud, do you have to build each object from scratch or can the point cloud data be used in some way?

- Can trees or small parts of a point cloud survey be used as a part of a complete revit model?

- Can point clouds be manipulated in a way to make them visually better in terms of image quality,highlight smaller parts of the point cloud or for renders?

General Revit questions

- Can you download and then edit trees so they represent the real trees on a plot of land?
