Hi,
I have a few columns that are holding up landings for my stairs that I am trying to show in a floor plan. I have created a plan region and set it to the correct height yet the columns are not showing up in the plan region. Does this have something to do with the plan region and stairs that maybe plan regions cannot just cut out little squares in the middle of a stair landing, or is this some other error?
Also is there a work around besides 2D lines where the columns need to be?
Cheers!
A plan region has to cover the entire stair footprint to be effective. You can try to use View > Hidden lines tool to reveal the columns under the stair.
Hi,
You can try as @ToanDN mentioned that should do the trick. To do this you have to make the column a bit higher to click it temporarily.
You can also try to make the stairs a little bit transparent or create a view containing the part of the stairs and set Discipline to Structural.

Thanks @ToanDN but if I change the view range of the plan region to show the columns, when I apply it all over the stair then the stair will not be shown correctly. I was afraid that stairs were the problem in this case, ugh! Hidden lines didn't work either. I guess it is back to 2D components for this.
Thanks though! 🙂
