I've created a pillar detail that includes two walls stacked on each other. The top wall shows up normal in plan view; I can see the cut patterns in the materials. However, I want to dimension to the stud of the wall below and I want the wall below to be visible. I have created a plan region which hides the wall above by lowering the cut plane. Fantastic. Problem: it isn't showing my hatch patterns for my stone, plywood, or my studs. I can only see the face of wall line work.
I have checked the wall type materials, I have a cut pattern applied to my materials, I've checked the color of the cut pattern to make sure it isn't white. I know I'm cutting through the wall and not seeing the top of the wall. I made sure the top wall and the wall below weren't joined. I have a sweep going along the wall, I've hidden that and put the cut plane below the sweep. I even tried modifying the entire view range (not just a plan region), I'm still not able to see my wall materials. .... I'm at my wits end.

course level is set to fine. all other walls are showing as they should. - see attached jpg
You have to make the lower wall's Unconnected Height > 4'-0" and edit profile to make it dwarf, or make the top connect to the upper level and give it a top offset to bring it down to the true height. Then the layers will show.
Hi there
I have a sub-region on a plan, however the walls which I'm cutting through are not showing hatching. Have I set the view up in correctly? I've spent about 1 hour messing about with the height. Hopefully the attachment will show how I have it set up currently.
I'm not sure if I'm having the same problem as the original query as I cannot download the attachments.
