Plan region not working

Hi, im having a problem with plan regions. as you can see in the first image (aa1.png), the window (sill height:1200mm, height 1200mm) is not showing properly although my view range in plan region is already set at higher the the sill height. i have tried different values but to no avail. this is really frustrating. in the second image (aa2.png) however, i have managed to make it show up the window's sill height is 1800 and the height is 600. one thing to notice about this is that its purely accidental or whatever i don't know. i have no idea how i fixed it. tas you can see in the third image (aa3.png), i moved the plan region a little bit and its messed up again. and when i move it back to its original (accidental) position. it shows up. has anyone of you here ever ran into this problem? please help me. and also. i have found an article regarding this issue saying that this is a bug. take a look" http://phil-osophyinbim.blogspot.com/2013/09/plan-region-and-view-range-bug-in-floor.html

i don't want to believe that there's no solution to this. revit is a widely used and very popular software and it's hard to think that this simple issue cant be fixed. please help dear sirs and madames.

Thanks,
Michael

The plan region boundary must enclose the entire extents of the object. I'm guessing your window family has extents beyond just what is visible. Stretch your plan region out larger than you would think is neccessary on all four sides and see if that helps.

This worked for me, iw as having the same issue with my windows not displaying fully. Just stretch the view region until it displays correctly.

Another work around you may check out, is try to go back to your window family in Family editor and check the view range at Plan view. Try to fix the view range in Family editor to cut on height you wish to show on project. Somehow, in the Revit project, this fixes itself to coordinate with the Plan Region mode. I have not perfected this yet but somehow this method works through experimentation of course.
