Placing voids on the face of a horizontal sweep

I have used the sweep command for creating cornice, but not finding a way to create rectangular voids on the face of another sweep profile. For reference I am attaching two images- building view & the required feature.

I would suggest a Line-Based Array Family and nix the Voids.  Inspect the attached Family to see what I mean.
