hello!!!
I face a problem that I have spent some time trying to solve but apparently can't.
I am trying to place a door in the center of a wall's width. As you can see in the first screenshot, the door can either be placed on the exterior or interior facade. The result I want to achieve is for the door to be slightly in the wall and not on the facade.
Is there a way to do it?

You did not add your screen shot.
However, the trick is to add a a reference line (red ref line in the image) and then have all your other parameters reference from that. Then you can have an instance parameter from that reference to the wall face and you will be able to shift the door in plane.
thank you! This is the project. The door is the only one existing on the project right now. It's on the west facade.
There is an easy way to do it without modify the door family:
Create a curtain wall the same size as the door, change the panel to a basic wall, use cut geometry to cut the wall with the curtain wall, place the door in the wall of the curtain wall. You can move the curtain wall to wherever you want to locate the door within the wall.
What @ToanDN is describing is an embedded wall. It works with Basic Walls as well - not just Curtain Walls.
