is there an easy way to have a pipe following a wall. may you can have a distance parameter for how far of an offset it is from a wall? what is the best way to simplify the process of making this drawing in revit?

There is no offset option to use while picking points, but it would be useful if there were. I approach it in a schematic way...sketch the basic path without regard for the precise placement of the first set of pipes. Then use the temporary dimensions that appear when selection a section of pipe and fine tune the location of the pipe(s) around the perimeter. I can use the Parallel Pipe tool to create additional pipe(s) offset a specific from the initial run.

sorry...forgot about Justification (ribbon button), it has a horizontal offset option so you can pick the face of the wall and set the pipe a specific distance from your pick points (only sees centerline of wall so have to work out the offset)...and direction affects the side of the wall so you have to draw it in the correct direction. Space bar does not flip the orientation.
