pipes color in properties

so, i'm having problems with pipes showing gray in properties preview and not the material color. i read some discussions saying it's a issue since version 2022. just wanna check if there's any solution yet. i'm using version 2025

Huh?  There is no correlation between the color of the pipe in the thumbnail preview and the color of the pipe in the Project View.    

...I'm not clear what you are calling an "issue".

thank for replying. so, thought the pipe would have the color of the material i applied to it, like in the example below:

but every pipe i make shows up in gray and i saw in this url that the issue is being investigated: h...

I don't get what you are showing - or why it even matters. What am I missing here? Pipes are System Families. Their material is obtained through "Routing Preferences". Material is not a property, per se, of the Pipe Family.
