Pipe Parameter not showing

When i draw a new pipe in my template, the parameter IfcDescription is not populating on the schedule.

Everything else is - type / classification etc etc but IfcDescription is not.

I can see the shared parameter IfcDescription is assigned to "pipes" but when i select the pipe and click Edit Type it is not showing within the type properties and is therefore not on the schedule.

I can add it again from shared parameters and project parameters but this creates a duplicate column - ie two IfcDescription columns, one with the pipe populated and one with the fittings etc.

This is me attempting to update an older template, for which the original shared parameter file may have been moved, superseded or deleted. Is that anything to do with it? If so is there a fix? Go easy please, Im a learner!

I am not sure what excactly causes the problem but did you check if it is an instance parameter? If so it could be in the type properties rather than inside the edit type.

Another possibility is that someone made the shared parameter invisible by edditing the shared parameter file (You are not supposed to do this but it is possible in older Revit versions) the only way I know to solve this is by creating new shared parameters and replace the old ones.
