Pipe Fittings Not Showing

Hello,

I am using Revit Architecture 2016 to place pipes in my building. I am running into a problem of my pipe fittings not showing in plan view. In plan view, where the pipe fittings should be is an empty space. I have looking into some settings and cannot figure out why they aren't showing up in plan view, HOWEVER, they are showing up in 3D view and in section! What gives??

Some things I looked into include:

- ensure element is not temporarily hidden or hidden in view.

- element is not being obscured by another element

- the category or subcategory is not hidden in view.

- the object is in view range

- the object is on the correct workset and the workset is loaded and visible in the view

- there is not graphic override on the elements

- in the pipe fitting family, the geomerty is set to an approriate detail level to show up in plan

- the object is not affected by a filter

If anyone has any ideas as to why these fittings aren't showing and how I can get them to show up I would be completely grateful.

I will attach some screen shots to show what is happening.

I still would expect some overrides to affect visibility of you pipe fittings.

Some things you can try:

-What happens when you change the floor plan between coarse medium and fine detail level?

-What happens when you change the floor plan between wire frame, hidden and shaded?

-Have you looked at your phase(s) and phase filter(s)?

-In your project create new floor plan without any view template. Do your fittings show up?

-Start a new project with your standard template, load the same fittings, draw some pipes and fittings. Are they visible now?

-Start a new (default) project, load your fittings, are they visible?

Also consider to upload your fitting family and, even better, (small part of) your project so that we can have a look

Did you check your Discipline Settings of that? and the whether the Fittings Family meet the same criteria?

Hello,

Make the bottom of the view range the same position as the view depth. It may solve the problem!

I have just encountered the same issue and it was down to Revit automatically assigning its own random system classification to the pipe fittings

If you select the fitting in a 3D view (or any view that displays the fitting) then look in the properties you will see the system classification has unknowingly been assigned to hydronic (or some other classification), Just redraw the fitting on the domestic system classification and it will display in the plan view.

I am using Revit 2015 and have never before experienced this problem.

Try under VV Settings and Imported families, make sure Imports in families is ticked on

If you think that you've checked everything and no more reason not to show up. open the family and go to the visibility settings and check the coarse, medium and fine boxes. The detail level might be the problem.

Thanks for your advice 

But i solved the issue, turns out that revit bugged somehow at my computer...
The solution was very simple... I just had to unload and reload the conduit family of my project.

Hello,

I was also facing the pipe fitting display issues.

but after applied your solution all the pipe fittings & missing object are displayed.

View range View depth option solve my problem

I found out that my pipe fittings weren't showing due to them being somehow assigned to a different System Classification that was turned off in filters. 

Specifically, my pipe fittings (elbows, tees, etc.) on my Natural Gas piping were categorized as Domestic Hot Water in their System Classification and i had Domestic Hot Water turned off in my filters. Turning on Domestic Hot Water also turned on my pipe fittings for Natural Gas. From there, i disconnected and reconnected the natural gas line to the fitting and the System Classification changed and i was able to turn off Domestic Hot Water in my filters again and have my Natural Gas fittings still show up.

I had a similar problem but it was the workset that was hidden in the filter. The pipe fitting appeared once I changed the workset.

This!. Took us a few hours to realize what was going on with pipe accessories in our plan views, and it was "Imports in Families" that was unchecked.
