I have existing elements and when cut a section the elements back in elevation have a hatch pattern darker than the elements being cut. How do I fix this?
Even with existing elements, the item being cut should have a darker diagonal hatch thru it then the element back in elevation.
in screen shot 1 is cut thru existing grade beam and two is existing grade beam beyond.
Has anyone found a solution? I'm running into a similar situation. All the graphics are the same, but the hatch pattern for projected demolition is heavy.
I have yet to find a solution using phasing overrides.
Instead of using phase graphic overrides I wrote a Filter rule based on Phase Created and Existing.
Then in your view templates turn on the filter and change the lines and patterns for projection and cut to lighter line weights and a light black hatch. If you make a view template from this filter it can be applied to views as needed
post a picture of your phase filters.
which phase is your view in?
what phase filter do you have applied.?
hard to really help without seeing the entire picture.
I can't get that to work either. The only thing that changes the thickness of a Projected Hatch Pattern is to change the Projected Line Weight in the main Object Styles. This changes everything regardless of phase or filter. The thickness of the hatch pattern is directly linked to the thickness of the Object Style Projected Line Weight. When I apply a filter of any type and adjust the line weight of Projected elements it does nothing, I suspect this is why the phasing changes do nothing to the line weight.
I can not get the filter to work either.
Huge revit problem and hoping this is fixed asap. Would love to be able to pick the pattern line weight as well as the object line weight.
Here's just a basic example. But happens in every project where there is existing.
Ah! I see what you are talking about now! The Projection Surface Hatch Pattern Line Weight is using #2's Weight. Same as Hatch Patterns in RCP Views.
Maybe a workaround you want to employ:
