Perforated Brick Wall in Revit

Hi,

I'm fairly new to Revit but know enough to make me more than proficient. However I have came across something in revit that has stumped me and not sure what the simplest way is to create a perforated brick wall. See images of what i want to model in Revit.

Now i have seen ways to do it in Dynamo, which I don't have time to learn, and have seen it being made when you edit the profile of a wall family but it doesn't look great when you see it in elevation (see below). I have the dimension and such of the bricks and the opening, but just not sure what the best approach is to model it in revit. Whether its a wall family that must be created or an in place mass that should be modeled. Or a curtain wall system.

Is there such a way in Revit 2018 to create such a pattern on a brick wall?

please send videos or steps as to what I could possible do for help.

Thank you so much for you help.

There are several ways:

1. Custom Curtainwall with Custom Curtain Panels ( bricks ) and Empty System Panels ( Openings)

2. Create a Family of Voids and cut the wall openings out of the brick wall.

3. The Dynamo method you mentioned.

4. Pattern Based Curtain System ( with Adaptive Components if needed at edges which don't clean up correctly.)

Wall Type A.JPG

Curtain wall with custom panel make it very easy to create this type of wall..

You may change the pattern design by customising Panel..

Pls Note Repeat Pattern dimension which you need to use for the curtain Vertical and Horizontal Grid distances

Revit file attached for your reference..

try it out..

Best luck.

Late to the discussion here, but if the purpose is primarily for documentation in elevation, an option is creating a hatch pattern that shows X's for the leave-outs,
