PC Equipment Spec - New Hard Drive

I've successfuly maxed out my Hard Drive - and am looking for somthing new to replace it with.  Definately going Solid State with at least 500 GB- 1 TB of Space.

Also wondering if there are any Specs/Speeds/Etc I should be looking out for - I know there is Flash Memory, Cache, and a Controller inside but I don't really know much about how they work.  I am really looking for something decent that will work to my advantage especially running Windows 10 Pro & Revit.  Are there any preffered manufacturers? Places to buy?

Also if anyone has any other ideas let me know.

It is more question for a computer hardware forum.

Depends little bit on your computer system. If you replacing a harddisk then you probably need one with SATA controller. In general samsung (e.g 850 pro) seem to be getting good reports. Make sure that you by one with the right connection that fits into your computer

Go with separate system and data drives.  Size the SSD system drive appropriately to the OS and desired applications, and keep on top of your practices to ensure as much as possible is going to the data drive.  Don't be too concerned over the minutia of details such as cache size, etc. just find something suitable for your budget (and that doesn't mean "as cheap as possible").
