partial demo of roof or slab

I have't figured out how to do a partial demo of a roof or a slab yet. Help!!! Is there something really easy that I am missing or? It doesn't make sense to have to demo the entire roof if I only want to show a portion of it demoed.

Split the roof into 2 or more roofs and demo the ones you want.

I thought that made sense but.....how do you split a roof?

the video did not talk about how to demo a portion of a roof or slab.

Copy the roof, pasted aligned in place, edit one roof footprint as the portion to be demolished, save, edit the other roof footprint as the portion to remain, save.  Then change the demolition phase of the portion to be demolished roof.

ok, thanks. Seems like a lot of steps for what should be a simple task. I will try that.

It is a lot of work, plus when you edit the roof to create the smaller portions the roof slopes get all messed up. Seems like there should be an easy way to split a roof and maintain it's slopes/shape.
