Parametric Louver Family

How can i create a parametric louver family. I know how to make the louver frames parametric . But the tricky part is modeling number of louvers to increase when the length o the frame is increased.

if i create louvers as an array then how can it be linked parametrically? to what and which elements are to be locked together?

The best tool for creating a louver is curtain wall. Use "Empty" system panels.

But if you wont to create an array, this is how you do it.... (I just missed the part where you align array with the reference planes that are driven by length parameter)

I came across this video a while back and use it quite a lot for paramtric families where there is a an array similar to the one you are using.  it expands furthe on Dr Gozozo's advice.  The line based appraoch may not be suitable for this problem but the principles might.

For the Louver Family to work properly in an Array, the length of the nested Louver needs to controlled from a pinned origin plane. That is, one end of the Louver in locked to a pinned "Origin" Ref. Plane and the other end is locked to a Ref. Plane that drives the length of the Louver.  One end of the Louver never moves.  Flexing the Louver ends outward, and equally, from its center point is going to be problematic in an Array.
