Hi Everyone,
I wanted to combine different mullion depth and wanted to have a mitre joint but I can't find any solution that works. Does anyone have a similar experience? I have attached a picture to show the issue for reference.

Hi @audi.capellan, I can't understand the orthogonal image you posted.
how about the first two mullions as shown in your image, seems like connected as you expected. Please post a clear image.

Hi,
I need the bigger mullion to mitre join with the small mullion. Meaning, it should join a nice corner as attached image.
Can you share the file to test further?
From the image, it is not clear what you are trying to achieve.
Thanks,

Thanks for sharing!
Can you also let me know the version of Revit you use and if your updates are in place?

Hi Viveka,
I am using Revit 2018.3.1.2

Glad to hear that you have the updates in place.![]()
Here's a quick workaround to 'join' the different mullions
1. Create a mass and pick the top and front faces to generate one curtain system. Add the mullion by picking the grids. Use two rectangle profile but with a different dimension. The created mass will become the 'corner miter' to join the two different mullions
2. Create an in-place component - generic model, select the face of the mullion and create a model by extrusion as shown below:
Let me know if this works for you and if you have additional questions.

Hi Viveka,
Thank you for posting your solution. I have a question: Do I create this mass once and automatically updates all mullions with the same issue? What I hope to achieve is not to do a manual copy and placing this mass to the rest of the mullions that has the same mitre issue.

Audi
Have you tried with corner mullion families? I'm not that much aware of it.
Thanks,

I see what you are saying. I wondering if we can do a custom mullion profile (mass+ 2 different mullion depths)_and then load this family in the model.

Hi Viveka,
Thanks for the suggestions. I will take this as a workaround and was hoping this can be incorporated in the future developments of the curtain wall.

Audi
