Parameters getting rearranged after importing

I am using Revit Architecture 2022 and am having issues loading in families that I have gone through and organized the parameters.  Every time I load the family in my parameters get jumbled around.  I deleted all families that were in the template and loaded in the updated family, and it changes the location of the parameters.  I have 2 images attached, one of which is what I want it to look like, the other is what it does after importing.  I have tried a clean import with no families in the template, I've tried overwriting what's already in there, and it does the same thing no matter how I load the family in.

I'm very **** about how these parameters are organized and making it easy for our users, and Revit keeps undoing all the work I did to organize these.  I can't seem to figure it out.

Thanks in advance!

It looks like some of the parameters are instance based.
These will not show up on the type properties panel.
Instead, they show up on the properties pan when loaded in the project. (Family Instance)

That's the way Revit rolls. It's not you.

...would you want to fix it if the cure was worse than the pain?  Let me know.

Annoying yes but fixing it is pretty simple though.

Create an in place model under the same category, add the same shared parameters and organize to groups how you like them to be in, finish the model in place.  Shared parameters in the loaded families will be sorted the groups similarly.
