Parameter Value transfer to multiple Nested Family Types

Hi,
May somebody know, how can I do the next:
- I have a door
- The Door has a Doorleaf, it is placed in the door as Nested Family
- The DoorLeaf has 22 different versions (Types).
- I want to transfer the width, height and material parameters of the door to the Nested Family (Leaf). 
- I know the small "=" sign, there is no question, the problem is, why I have to set it up manualy 22x3 times?

Do somebody knows, how I can define this parameter connections only ones and transfer it to all the 22 other Types?

It sounds like your door family needs 22 different types. Once you have the types set up, it would be a simple matter of assigning the appropriate type from the properties.

You should create a Family Type parameter to control different types of a nested family so that you only need to associate the Parameters once. And the dimensions in the nested family should be instance. Share the family if you want me to look at it.

Thank you for the quick reply. Unfortunately I think, this is not answered my question. 

I know, how to make Types and Type Catalogues for a Family Part, my question is, if you have 22 different type like this and you want to import it in a Host family, where you have 3 "driver" parameters (Door Lefa Width, Door leaf Height, Door Leaf Material), which comtrols Parameters in your nested family, how you can to connect them?
In the Host Family you can select the Nested family part and Select the "Type Properties" window, but here you have to set up all parameter connections one by one for all 22 Types. 
It is 22x3 action instead of 3. It is timeconsuming and I have a Product, where I have 4 such a parameter with 20 types and average 4-6 Parameter pairs. It is more then 500 connections and even more, if I chane something in my Nested Family, sometimes I lost these connections, so I can start it again.

The wish would be to set up the Parameter Conections only ones for all Nested Families and make it true for all Types in that Family part.
