Overlapping Roof Above Lines

I need to show the roof edge above, but need them to not overlap. When I use the Linework tool, there's no apparent way to trim the edges so they don't overlap. Anyone know of a solution?

Highlighted edges are what need to show in floor plan:

How it's drawn in CAD:

Hi,

You can try to drag the lines immediately after placing them (one by one).

Thank you, @ralphdenhaan! That did the trick. For anyone else that runs across this, if you've already changed the lines with the Linework tool, you can activate the tool and just click on the line you want to modify to show the control points again.

I don’t think this is possible unless you draw the lines manually by picking points etc and trace rather than pick lines or mask it out but it’s still a bit of a fudge which is a shame.
