Overlap Infill Element with New Element in Design Option?

Hi,

I'm working on a renovation project in Revit LT. I'm having a lot of trouble simply placing a new window in an existing wall, inside a Design Option. I understand that an element in the Main Model can't host an element in a DO so have copied the relevant wall into the DO. I can properly insert a window into this wall as long as it does not occupy any of the space that was occupied by a door before that door was demolished in the same, New Construction phase. But the window is to be located where the door was and refuses to obey. The errors generated are as follows:

"An insert in the main model cannot be hosted by an element in a Design Option", and

"An insert in a design option cannot be hosted by an element in the Main Model"

The only possible cause I can think of is that the new window is in conflict with the infill element that has replaced the demolished door. Accordingly, I tried copying the demolished door from Existing into the DO but Revit got similarly upset.

Thoughts most welcome.

Thanks.
