Overhead Sectional Door and Existing Wall

I created an 8" generic wall and designated it as an existing wall. Then I added the out-of-the-box overhead sectional door that comes with Revit LT. The door is New Construction. It looks fine in plan. However, in Elevation views or 3D views the door is not visible unless I change the wall from existing to new construction. That is disappointing. I want to see the new door in the existing wall. Doesn't happen with person doors just overhead doors.

You need to learn how to configure your views to display existing, demolition, and proposed status. In this case, you can show your new wall in the existing wall in a view that is configured like this:

Thank you for your response. Please read my original post more closely. Plan view is fine. It's elevations and 3D that are problematic even with phase new construction and showing complete.

I have read your original post again. It is the same for elevation and 3d view. It's a matter of settings. The phasing settings of the view, and the phasing settings of the elements.

Can you open the elevation view where the wall is not showing, screen capture the view properties palette, and post it here?

@Alfredo_Medina is right,

Phase filters are view specific.

Check that your elevation view has the right filter applied!

Cheers,

François
